Elon Musk has Release a new company, this is Elon’s 6th Business venture. And first which is dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI), is called X.AI. According to a filing obtained by The Wall Street Journal, Musk is listed as the director of the company, and Jared Birchall, director of Musk’s family office, is its secretary.

Musk’s new venture X.Ai is also a competitor of OpenAi (and it’s Hype worth ChatGpt Bots) The filing also revealed that Musk incorporated the business on March 9th, 2023, sparking rumors that he was planning to launch an AI company.

Reports of Musk’s interest in the AI sector have been circulating for a few days, with Business Insider reporting that he had purchased thousands of graphic processing units (GPUs) to power an upcoming generative AI product. The Financial Times also reported that Musk was planning to create an AI firm to compete with OpenAI, which is backed by Microsoft. Musk even allegedly sought funding from investors of his other ventures, SpaceX and Tesla, to get the company started.

During an interview on Twitter Spaces, when asked about the GPUs he had purchased, Musk made no mention of his plans to start an AI company, saying that “it seems like everyone and their dog is buying GPUs at this point.” Interestingly, the name X.AI is similar to the branding of the X Corp. name that Musk has assigned to Twitter and the “X” label he’s applied to his vision of an “everything app.”

Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but walked away from the organization in 2018. He has been openly critical of OpenAI and recently signed a letter calling for a pause on “giant AI experiments.” OpenAI has become a prominent name in the AI industry, responsible for developing technology such as ChatGPT and GPT-4, and inspiring Microsoft and Google to integrate AI tools more deeply into their products.
